Sassy Water...Ooookay.

In my quest to find good, healthy recipes I came across one for "Sassy Water."  It's quite simple actually...water infused with certain ingredients makes for a good way to get rid of impurities.  First, the ingredients...8.5 cups of water, 1 tsp of grated ginger, 1 medium cucumber sliced thin, 1 large lemon, sliced thin; 12 mint leaves.

Here's how it's supposed to work...Mix all of the ingredients together and refrigerate overnight.  The next morning, strain and drink the 8.5 cups of water throughout the day.  Repeat for 4 days...trying as best as you can to avoid other beverages.  Supposedly, the cucumber is a natural diuretic, ginger helps boost your metabolism and helps calm and soothe your GI tract.  The lemon and mint are just for flavoring.

My take on it..I put this together last night.  instead of the mint and lemons, I had to use lemon juice and oranges.  It still tastes good.  I have been using the restroom quite a bit, so maybe there's something in the whole "cucumber is a diuretic" thing.  I let you know in four days how it all works.  so far so good.
