This weekend, Jack and Jason went to Abilene on Friday and Caroline and I joined them today. Caroline had a horseback riding lesson at 11:00, so we headed out after that. We rolled (actually pushed by the wind) into Abilene around 3:30 and rested before heading out to the baseball game. Jeff's younger brother was playing for ACU so we watched his game and then had dinner with his family.
While on the way to the game, Jason stopped off at a convenience store to get something to drink and then some water for the kids. As he got out of the car Caroline asked for a water, then Jack called out, "Hey dad, could you get me a beer?" WHAT DID HE JUST SAY? was what I thought. Jason quickly added, "You want a ROOT BEER?" "Yeah, that's what I said," was his reply.
Whew! I was about to nix this whole Daddy/Jack time idea.
