Sure does feel like it. I spend yesterday straightening and mopping and vacuuming. Today was laundry. I feel really great about my house when I go to bed. It looks clean and straightened. Of course, it all starts again the next day. By 10:00 in the morning, the den is cluttered, Carolines' room looks like a bomb went off in it, the kitchen is cluttered, and the kids are no where in sight. I often find them at friend's houses and have them come back and straighten up their mess, which they do (albeit fighting the whole time), but they straighten it. However, later when they get home it happens all again. I'll walk through the den and think, "Crap! Didn't we already clean this?" I round up the kids and they straighten again. This happens about 5 times during the day and it gets tiring.
When they go to bed I straighten up the den and the kitchen once more before I go. But then it starts all over again the next day.
I feel like a gerbil on a wheel.
