We've lately noticed that our kids have a sense of entitlement when the want something. Their mantra is, "If I want, I'll get it, and you're going to get it for me." We've started a new system of Job charts and earning things. So we'll see how it goes.
When I was talking to them about it last night and Jack wanted to know why it had to be this way, I just said, "Well. The Economy is not doing so great. You know we haven't been able to do all the things we used to do, and you haven't been getting things you used to get. That's because we have to watch how we spend our money."
Yep. I blamed the economy for our new way of doing things. We'll see if they continue to buy it.
