Today was an actual day off for me. It iced last night an there was enough of it on the roads to make driving quite hazardous. With surprising forethought my district canceled classes for today. The positive part in all of this is that I got to go back to sleep, the downside is that the Friday before Spring Break we have to go to school (That was a snow make up day). All in all it has been a good day. The kids slept in (Jack actually slept until about 7:00is, and Caroline until about 7:30). When Jason went in and told Jack that there was no school today Jack's response was a resounding, "Yippee!"
My only complaint is that I didn't get a call from my school's calling tree to tell me school was canceled for the day. I got a call from the RISD communications office informing parents that schools would be closed today.
But like I said, it's been a nice day. I needed break anyway.
