Life is returning to normal.

Life is slowly returning to normal. The kids are at my sister's house enjoying some time with her. I'm here posting another blog entry, and Jason is back on his computer looking on YouTube for other music videos to post. He's doing really well, and there are some residual affects of the pneumonia. But for the most part, the family unit is returning to normal.

Jason is beginning to eat more, which is good because he's lost a lot of weight. I think he's down to 220, but not real sure. I've only seen him as low as 250 and that was for our wedding. He's definitely getting his appetite back which is encouraging. He's having to do some physical therapy to help build back his stamina and balance, but he was told it could be Thursday when he goes back to work. He's making a remarkable recovery, but he's got some good bone marrow in him (thanks Jeff!). I know he gets down because he can't do as much as he used to, but hey he's here and that's enough for me and the kids. Especially Jack.

I feel more comfortable now. I feel like I can handle work, home, and family now that I'm not having to shuttle the kids down to the hospital to see dad or reassure two scared children that their dad is fine. Work is going okay. I'm not sure why my principal has backed off of me, it could be another grade level's turn I'm not sure. But she's leaving me alone so I can do my job.

2 more months until Summer break, 4 more weeks until TAKS is over. If I can get through TAKS and the kids do well, I can coast into Summer. I've got two more Saturday Schools and 4 more weeks of tutoring.

I'm a little apprehensive for this week simply because we've got to tell the kids they'll be going to a new elementary school. One step at a time.
