Dear American Soldier (past and present),
Thank you. Two words that are so simple, yet convey much more. As I watched my neighborhood's parade, mingled with neighbors, swam with my family, and enjoyed a cookout with a fireworks show; I know that you are the reason I was able to do those things. Your sacrifice, which is enormous, is the reason I'm free. Our country has its problems, but all in all we are a great nation. While the two words are the only ones I can offer, the depth of my gratitude is far reaching. My children are free to do many things, some of which I wish they didn't do, and make choices. The fact that they CAN make choices is a simple reminder of your sacrifices. On this, our 237th birthday, I'd like to say, Thank you for my freedom, and the freedom of my children.
Sincerely,
Tracey Huffman
