Okay kids, It's time to get Dad's Car Out of Hock.

Today was the first day of Christmas vacation for us. I was looking forward to sleeping in, and technically I did (7:30 am). The phone rang about 7:45 and it was Jason. He'd had a doctor's appointment so he left early, and found that there wasn't any self park at the hospital, only valet and he didn't have enough money. So I told him the kids and I would go to the bank and get some money. It took us awhile to get down there, mainly because Jack's favorite shoes were at his grandmother's house and then the bank, and then breakfast.

Before we left, I figured I'd get resistance from the kids to get out of the house in 20 degree weather. So I sat them down and told them the problem. As soon as I said that Dad couldn't get his car back until we got down there with the money, Jack and Caroline both popped up and went to their banks and each got out $5. Jack had a $5 bill and Caroline got 5 $1 bills. As soon as we were in the car, Jack called his dad and told him not to worry we were on the way and they each had $5 to give him.
