Things I'm Thankful for

As Thanksgiving roles around I thought I'd take a moment to list the things I'm thankful for. I think that it should be understood that I'm thankful for these things all year long, but it's nice to take a day to celebrate it. So here goes. Just like with Dancing With the Stars, these are listed in "no particular order."

* The little voice that identifies himself in the middle of the night so he doesn't scare the crap out of me from a dead sleep... "Mom? Mom? It's me, Jack H....."
* The scraggly voice that says a hundred times a day..."Mommy, I love you."
* My mom who made me feel like a kid again (by waiting on me) when I didn't feel well.
*Ace, my snuggle buddy, who knew that all I needed when i didn't feel well was to rub his tummy and make him feel better. :)
* A certain curly headed little girl who can serve tea to her dad from her Cinderella tea pot one minute, and then use it as a machine gun the next as her brother tears through the living room.
* Working out to relieve stress.
* My older sister (and mom) who understand that I'm not Superwoman (just Wonder Woman) and can't do everything all the time.
* My younger sister who reminds me that plans are good, but surprises are good too and can work out if you really stick to it.
*My "village" who help out tremendously in helping out with my family.
*My sister in law.
* A certain little boy, who tries really hard to be on blue.
*That same little boy who is brutally honest and tells the truth.
*Max - the dog that probably would be a good candidate for Doggie downers,
*Lilly - (My first Mother's Day present) the dog that truly suffers from ADD and has her whole life.
*Maggie - The 85 pound pound puppy that will protect her family to the death.
* My health - now that the antibiotics that have kicked in.
* My husband and the fact that he's still here.
*The angel that donated bone marrow to someone they didn't even know because they could and they felt it was the right thing to do. They have no idea how many lives they touched by that simple act.
*My husband. The one I was lucky enough to find and keep. I am thankful he didn't give up on me while he was waiting for me to go out with him. I thankful that he puts up with my crap and that he's with me no matter what. I'm thankful he has my back.
*I'm thankful he's realized he's not Superman and that no one expects him to be. I'm thankful he's around more so there are more Blue days for the little boy that looks so much like him.
*I'm thankful that my children still have a dad here on Earth and I still have the man of my dreams.
