Off into the Wilderness I Go!
Tonight my son is on his first camping trip. I'm really excited and impressed that it's almost 10 p.m. and he hasn't even called once. He went down with another boy in his Cub Scout troop. I'll join them tomorrow. I successfully put up the tent on a trial run tonight in our den. It went okay, but of course the wind isn't blowing at 60 miles per hour, but maybe they'll die down tomorrow. I would have gone tonight, but I have to teach the last Saturday School before the dreaded TAKS test next week so I'll travel there tomorrow. Usually this is Jason's territory, but he hasn't been given the green light from his doctor to go out in the elements of Spring time so it falls to me. I'll be back on Sunday so I'll let everyone know how it goes. Wish me luck. I never liked camp. I was the girl who made herself so homesick one year, I spent the entire week in the infermary. So, maybe this time it'll be different.
