I'm about ready for cold and flu season to end. Yesterday, we had about 6 students from 6th grade leave within 1 hour. They were running fevers and were feeling horrible. I'm assuming it's the flu, mainly because we've had an outbreak in the lower grades and many of our students have younger brothers and sisters. Today was a big benchmark for our district (more thoughts on that later). We had 4 students out, several left by the end of the day. That's just at school.
At home, it's the same story. Jason's been sick for a little bit (e coli was the most recent). It seems to keep hitting him. I'm about ready for him to start feeling better. It's not going to help much with the temperatures dipping into the upper 40's and lower 50's (we've had several days of upper 70's and low 80's).
When will it end? At least Spring Break is near.
